Dr. J. Evans Pritchard, the preface of the book, understands poetry by evaluating the importance and expression of poetry. Mr. Keating is tired of the realistic view that poetry may be subject to the same scrutiny as the "laying pipeline". When Keating asked his class to tear the entire preface forward, Cameron said "We should not do this." This comment reflects that Cameron dislikes the rudeness of the traditional essayist. During the establishment of the Death Poets Association, Cameron was concerned about the personal influence the club had on the boy.

Dead Poets Society is a 1989 American theater movie written by Peter Schirman and supervised by Peter Weir, starring Robin Williams. Established in 1959 as a fictitious elite conservative Vermont boarding school school Welton Academy, it tells the story of an English teacher who motivated his students through the teachings of his poetry. In the autumn of 1957, shy Todd Anderson celebrated its 1st year at Weldon College High School, a male elite preparatory school. He was appointed Neil Perry as one of Welton's most promising students, his roommate, and soon accepted by Neil's friends: Knox over Street, Richard Cameron, Stephen Meeks, Gerrard Pitts and Charlie Dalton

Tom Schulman, the founder of the Dead Poets Society, an Oscar winner will hold an opening keynote address and a watch party at the Cultural Center for Performing Arts (CPAC) at Questa College at 5 pm on Thursday, September 28.
