Siege of Jerusalem: Herod The Great

In 40 BC, the Roman Senate appointed Herod as the ruler of the Jews. King Herod or King Herod governed the Jews for the next 36 years. During his reign, he began various architectural projects including the temple of Jerusalem to worship God. Buildings take decades to complete and require a lot of money and effort. Once completed, the temple is surprisingly impressive. But as Jesus roamed the earth, many Jews began to worship the temple instead of worshiping God.

Roman general Pompei conquered Rome's Jerusalem in 63 BC, and in 37 BC Rome called Herod as the great king of the Jews. Herod conquered Jerusalem in 37 BC. Herod started a huge building project that shapes most of the Old Town of Jerusalem to what can be seen today. One of Herod's architectural plans was to rebuild a temple built in 18 B.C. Herod was a great ruler of Jerusalem until he died in 4 BC. And he never saw the completed second temple. After Herod's death, no king replacing him was nominated, but the Rome prosecutor ruled Jerusalem. Pontius Pilate, the most famous prosecutor, declared that he was crucified as a fanatic in Nazarenz Jesus, claiming they were sent by Gd to protect Judaism. In 31 CE, Jesus was crucified on 25 April (NIV).

King Herod governed Jerusalem from the 37th century BC to the 4th B.C. as a vassal of the Roman Empire and was appointed "Royal King" from the Roman Senate. King Herod was called a tyrant, because it killed the person who can mainly grasp the throne. Herod was executed with the old dynasty, all relatives of the Hasmoni dynasty. This includes his wife, the daughter of King Hasmonian, and her entire family. Herod also made a series of new aristocrats faithful only to him, called Herod. He appointed a new high priest from a family unrelated to the dynasty of the past. After Herod's death, several relatives started to request this area, starting from a quarter of Herod.

After three years of conflict, Herod and the Romans finally occupied Jerusalem, Herod sent Antigus to Mark Anthony. King Herod was the sole ruler of the Jews and served as the title of the Brazilian Lesbourg ("Brazil," King ") who pioneered the Herod dynasty and ended the Hasmoni dynasty. Josephus reported that Agrippa and Gallus (37 BC) were the year when it came to power, but in 27 years after Jerusalem fell into Pompeii, he also stated that this represents 36 years BC. Cassius Dior also reported in 37 BC that "Romans have completed all the remarkable things in this area." According to Josephus, Herod dominated for 37 years, 34 of whom occupied Jerusalem.
