The transition from high school to university is a challenge for many students. Students will soon notice the difference between high school expectations and academic expectations. The structure of the high school is strict, student attendance and participation are regularly monitored, teachers keep in touch with them every day and provide regular feedback. Instead, college students are responsible for organizing the curriculum. They are not allowed to attend regular lectures and they are not supervising participation in most courses.
"University resources are provided for students' intellectual growth and development; students are expected to attend classes" attendance "is based on the specific requirements of attendance, including the frequency and type of participation in designated channels . Regulation: Veterans attendance policy (see 401.4) listed below, and attendance policy of the supervision's exam preparation course (see current directory)
I studied the relationship between college students and academic achievement. I use data on university course which is not essential. The method used is cluster analysis and regression analysis. We discovered that the students are divided into three different groups: 1) those who drop out before the final exam, 2) those who take the course and the exam, 3) study and study independently The most important thing to note is that in Group 2, after suppressing the influence of other variables that may be related to performance, we found that the attendance rate correlates positively and significantly with the performance. In addition, the third group of students was characterized by absenteeism and persuasive power, and had the ability to positively search for information and voluntarily learn.
