Should media write about the private lives of celebrities | IELTS essay

Some people believe that the media should be allowed to publish information about private life of celebrities. Others say that everyone has the right to privacy, and this practice must be managed or even stopped. Discuss these two views

We live in a world obsessed by celebrities, and everything the famous people do or say is headlines. If the media exposes stories about the private life of rich and famous people, that is because they have spectators. People want to know what celebrities do, such as what to wear, what to eat and what to drink. The media just met this demand as it has a good business impact on them.

Public people also have private life and they want to protect others. Just because they are famous, the media does not have the right to publish any kind of personal information about them. It is fashionable to publish pictures and stories of celebrities. This trend must be criticized. Everyone has a defect; however, when a celebrity shows them, it becomes news. People will get some strange fun, knowing that the famous men and women they admire are not perfect.

On the other hand, there is a symbiotic relationship between celebrities and the media. People depend on the existence of others. Exposure to the media is necessary for celebrities to be famous people. They are eager to read the news. They need media attention to build their own business. Only after they establish their own industry, they will understand their privacy. However, at that stage, we can not expect that the media promoting development will cease writing articles.

Overall, as long as people want to understand the private life of celebrities, the media will provide them with pictures and stories. However, I think public officials also have the privacy right. I do not mean that the media should stop writing celebrities, but I think they should draw a line. The media must resist the temptation to announce stories that could ruin life and career.

As it becomes a topic of celebrity's private life, some of us will be satisfied to agree that celebrity private life should be a restriction on the media. However, some people agree that celebrities' private lives should not be limited by the media once this agreement is over. Since both parameters have valid points, there is no simple solution to this parameter. In my opinion, I agree that celebrities should not limit the private life of celebrities to media, as celebrities have privately owned rights rather than being open to the world.
