I believe that there are gay people as long as people live. Over the years, society opposed and condemned homosexuals and lesbians. Even the US Constitution prohibits homosexuals from enjoying certain rights. For many years homosexuals have not been allowed to serve in the army unless they hide their sexuality. As I get older, I am in contact with homosexuals, and my friends and family are tolerant of sexual orientation.

There are a lot of opinions and positions about homosexual marriage. The argument that homosexual marriage should be legalized or irrational is very controversial. According to the article on human rights campaign it is not wrong to allow homosexuals to have the same rights as heterosexuals. Everyone, regardless of gender, should have equal rights.
