Should College Athletes Be Paid?

I do not believe that everyone is hurting trying to make extra cash unless they violate state or domestic laws. I think that it is unethical and unfair to punish athletes as the National University Sports Association tried to add a few dollars to their bank account. As a college rugby player I know how it feels to be fighting with the income of the university and not having the money to pay for the specific / basic needs of college life. To illustrate this point, we are basically working more than 40 hours a week, as football players and schools are also full time students.

Should college students receive salary? Should a university athlete receive a salary? This is a controversial topic since college sports began. I think many people should do this. I think many people should not do this. Those who say they should pay their salary think that the exercise amount given by the athlete is equal to or even greater than the full time work. - College athletes received the famous university athletes, Terrelle Pryor, Johnny Manziel, Jameis Winston, and recently Todd Gurley was fined and suspended for signing and selling signatures. College athletes should earn enough money to buy clothes, food and supplies that may come from taking 1 dollar from their merchandise. Some college students do not have the money to support themselves at university.

Regardless of whether you should pay salary to university students, there will always be discussions. Some people object to it, others agree. I agree with the overall notion that college students should receive salaries. College athletes sacrificed much when playing at university. When you participate in sports, you do not have time to work. And that leads to lack of money to go to college.
