As if someone is talking about it, the poet may write poetry (similar to a tale of the story). Speakers can present not only the poet's point of view but also the character's point of view (a poet who pretends to be a person). It is important to understand that the speaker is not necessarily a poet. For example, a poet may impersonate a villain who committed a bad crime.
