Shaping Heian, Japan

Japan's 10th century Japan that forms peace features elegant, beautiful and sophisticated images. During this period, rituals and ceremonies formed almost every aspect of life. The Heian era of Japan (794 - 1185) was the era of peace. Yes, peace literally means peace in Japan. When there is no battle, nobility is resting in the world and thinks of a peaceful island - farmers earn money to pay their heavy taxes in rice field (in rice). In the Heian period, women of high social status were restricted indoors and were not within the sight of the fellow countrymen of the courts.
