Sexual Harassment of Student Athletes

In silence, one out of every four female college students is a victim of rape. For decades, men have been seen as men trying to take aggressive actions against women. Women are not members of society, women's vulnerability will increase against incidents such as rape because they are not afraid of maintaining "other" or losing "love". Furthermore, at university, many women are learning in their lives, many of them occurring.

Sexual harassment is an unpleasant sexual act that makes people feel uncomfortable, fearful, helpless, and obstructing work. Sexual harassment can happen to anyone of men, women, students, or adult employees. Sexual harassment has been at the forefront of business for many years, whether submitted to the court or resolved under mediation. - INTRODUCTION Organizations are obligated to create harassment-free environments for employees. Harassment is not necessarily sexual harassment. Organizations are responsible for harassment that is frequent or serious and creates a hostile or unpleasant workplace environment or causes disadvantageous employment practices such as dismissal, demotion, or transfer of victims. It is illegal to harass people based on gender.

Student sexual harassment is illegal. Federal law of 1972 Education revision, Chapter IX (title IX) prohibits discrimination based on sex, including sexual harassment, in educational programs and activities. All public and private educational institutions receiving financial assistance from the federal government must comply with title IX. Chapter 9 will protect students from harassment related to academic, educational, extracurricular, sports and other school programs and activities regardless of location. Chapter 9 protects girls and students from sexual harassment by school employees, other students, or third parties other than employees.

Eliminating students' sexual harassment with federal support educational programs is a top priority for OCR. Through the implementation of Article 9, OCR understands that a considerable number of boys and girls experienced sexual harassment. Sexual harassment can lead to discomfort, fear or confusion and may be a requirement for sexual or unpleasant sexual behavior that is severe enough or recurrent enough to interfere with academic or extracurricular activities or classes.
