Sexual Behaviors of Street Workers

The survey was conducted from January 2001 to January 2004 at Padua in northeastern Italy and 98 women street sex workers were studied to judge knowledge of sexually transmitted diseases and condom use. According to the survey, most of the participants (40 people) were 21 to 23 years old. The 35 participants started the sex industry at the age of 15 and 18, and 36 years old after 18 years old. Each time 60 people participated in the condom. A young girl uses fewer condoms than older girls. Almost (85%) participants do not use condoms with paid partners.

In order to determine the gap between sexual behavior and self-regulating sexual self-declaration of other norms and normal sexual behavior recognition like other people (with the same age and / or gender) I was asked about two different sexual behaviors. Measured sexual behavior is associated with moderately contraindicated sexual behavior. These projects are based on a small online preliminary survey that required 12 participants to evaluate sexual behavior as a high, moderate, or minimal contraindication. Behaviors that have been evaluated as taboos (such as Sadomasohism and Expressionism) are excluded because they may affect the results. The moderate taboo behavior selected for this study was measured over a frequency range of 5 points from 1 ("not doing") to 5 ("very frequently").

The difference between self declaration of sexual behavior and declaration of sexual behavior of another person was evaluated to judge whether participants regard taboo behavior of ordinary people as being more frequent than their own taboo behavior (hypothesis 1). . As expected, the participants overestimated the sexual behavior of ordinary men and women of that age (see Figure 1). Corresponding sample t test showed that participants reported all 5 sexual behaviors at a significantly lower frequency than men (M = 2.07, SD = 0.74) (M = 3.16, SD = 0.71 ) T (143) = 13.82, p <0.001 (M = 2.47, SD = 0.04), t (143) = 5.95, p <0.001 instead of the average female. The majority of participants have reported that sexual behavior is less frequent than regular males and females and only 8% reported that some of sexual behavior is more frequent than men and women was.
