Since the first women's rights treaty in 1848, women have sought fair treatment. We have heard the original words "male and female war" and "men are better than girls". This is important as the labor force changes and women are stronger than men. There is still a big difference between men and women and their importance in the world (Jaworska, 2011; Lemus 2013). In this article, we will introduce the role of gender in today's world, especially newspaper and magazine media.
The theme I chose as a research proposal was "Stereotype of sexuality and gender in media and how it was drawn in a commercial". I think that choosing this theme is very interesting and I believe that this is what most people can get. We are in an era when advertising and mass media are part of our daily lives. All purchased items will be purchased for the purchased advertisement. I think it's interesting to analyze these ads and the strategies used and understand why they appeal to us. Gender is an important element of advertising, especially in commercials. Over the years, advertisers have used gender to attract viewers and convince them. Since advertising is one of the major and most common ad formats in use today, it is one of the most influential advertisements for viewers, so I chose commercial advertisement as research medium. The article I use is an academic peer-reviewed journal.
Sex plays an important role in today's society. Every form of media sells products using sex, from TV, radio, music, advertising, video games, the Internet, even arts and photographs. Abuse and exploitation are common as the public is exposed to so many different kinds. Is sex a useful tool or a strategy that attracts public attention? Before discussing sexual behavior in the media it is important to understand why people use sex as a gimmick. "Creating a history of contemporaryism creates a view that it is a mere school party, the history of women is ignored in the most direct sense, hastened, and censored. (Janssen-Jurreit, 1982, pp.15-16) The world we live today is still an artificial one, now it is in the 19th century.
