In Milton's Paradise Lost, the images of the two sexes of Book IV and IX stand in stark contrast to one another to show the dichotomy of love and desire. The first act of sexuality is in Volume 4 which represents holy love. Before entering the pavilion, Adam and Eve must praise God. Adam and Eve are their authors if "both sides stand up / change their direction and worship / create the sky, the sky, the earth and the gods in the sky in the sky" (IV.720-2) There is a fear of it. Even heaven is consistent with the love of Adam and Eve.
John Milton's epic "Paradise Lost" explores the story that humans fall from heaven. Falling occurred after Adam and Eve were tempted by Satan and ate the nuts of knowledge. In doing so, Adam and Eve ran out of obedience to God and was exiled from the Garden of Eden or heaven. Falls in this poem are often called thugs, or lucky falls. However, the fall of mankind is not really lucky indeed. Because it does not produce better survival for humans than before human beings were corrupted. Autumn fall does not bring much benefit to most people nor does it provide more knowledge about God's mercy. This shows that the fall does not ultimately benefit humanity, but it shows the need for human obedience to God.
Many people think that humans fall from paradise to lucky people, or stupid people, but this view depends on the situation of the backward human. Those who believe that falling eventually is lucky seem to compare Adam and Eve to the existence of humanism's posteriorism immediately after a fall rather than a fall. In doing so, it is easy to find the positive nature of corruption: human beings are given the opportunity to save rather than the eternal curse of life. Archangel Michael said he must leave this paradise, but he must have a happier paradise. Adam said:
