Seventh Grade Students’ Problem Solving Success Rates on Proportional Reasoning Problems

His research is to investigate the seventh grade success rate in solving the proportional reasoning problem and whether these success rates vary depending on the type of problem. A random selection of 331 seventh grade students participated in the study. Problem testing including three different types of missing values ​​(direct proportional, inverse proportional, and additive / non-proportional) word problems was designed as a data collection tool for research. This study used a descriptive data analysis method. According to the analysis, the seventh grade solves various problem types with various success rates. The results of this survey also indicate that the problem type affects student problem solving ability.
