Learning Theory and Teaching Strategy The courses included in this module are based on Madeline Hunter's seven curriculum forms. This course plan form is a proven effective teaching method. As each element is derived from the previous element, when designing the course, the teacher needs to consider these seven elements in a specific order. The lesson plan is different from one lesson time. Multiple courses may be required throughout the course before students are ready to practice their own skills.

Course design is not a new phrase or concept. However, curriculum design is behind the "curriculum plan" for ever changing educational needs. From 5 E to Madeline Hunter, there are many ways to plan a student. One thing that is common among these different course templates is that the instructions are processes. When considering curriculum and structure, what kind of process do we actually use to create learning experiences for students? Think of your own worst experience as a student (even in PD). You know the person you saw the clock, it feels like you are not learning anything new, and I hope you are doing something more productive. If we remember our experiences, we wish to create a better experience for our students. Believe it or not, some students sit in the classroom without inspiration; there is no real learning. why?

Starting a class with a hook is a wonderful way to attract students comes from Madeline Hunter's "preset" course planning strategy. Essentially, she believes that they will engage more if you introduce to the students the concept that you revisit through the course throughout the course.
