Kiwanis provides youth with leadership and service opportunities through its service leadership program. Aktion Club, Key Club, Circle K, Builders Club, K-Kids are part of the Kiwanis Service Leadership Program. They are sponsored by the local Kiwanis club and receive funds and guidance from Kiwanis. Kiwanis established and supported Key Club International. Founded in Sacramento, California in 1925, Key Club is the world's oldest and largest service program for high school students. As of 2010, the Key Club has 250,000 members in 30 countries, mainly 5,000 clubs in Latin America, the Caribbean, Asia and Australia as well as the United States and Canada. KIWIN'S (pronounced "kiwin") is operated under the protection of the key clubs of California - Nevada - Hawaii only, but it is a high school program that elects its officials.
