There were many witnesses who concluded that these people heard the bomb and the explosion that seemed to be a minor installation. Others insisted that firefighters would hear crying and exploding. As a survivor of the first hand of the attack, Tom Elliott asserted, "Only two firemen burst, they exploded, told him that happened near the 60th floor" (9/11 Firefighter: World Trade Center bombing incident and explosion).

An attack on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon on 11th September, 2001 is a testimony of the fear of terrorism and it is urgent to prove to protect our country against these dangers. Since 11th September 2001, the US government is trying to strengthen security, and the balance between security and citizen freedom must be readjusted. Many of the actions taken are important for the ability of law enforcement agencies to fight terrorism. However, efforts to provide law enforcement authorities with the necessary tools to prevent terrorism are often contradictory to the need to preserve the constitutional privacy and legitimate process rights.
