Sense and Sensibility

Sense and Sensibility is the first novel written by Jane Austen. It includes not only autobiographical elements but also other novels she writes. Jane Austen has only one sister named Cassandra. The connection between Jane and Kassandra is between Elinor and Marianne. Two women in the novel are similar in character and attitude to real life women. Elinor understands the intimacy of Cassandra and Jane well.

The reasons and emotions gathered many criticisms from many different criticism methods, like other Austin novels. Early comments on Sense and Sensibility focused on novels and provided an action course (later discussed by many critics) and an explanatory role. A supplement of "North Rational and Emotional Critical Edition" edited by Claudia Johnson contains many early reposting comments.
