Land and resources: Most countries in Senegal consist of plains and are located less than 330 feet. The altitude rose to about 1,640 feet; however, it only appeared in the southeast of the hill at the foot of Fouta Djallon. There are also three major rivers in Senegal. Like Gambia, Sarum, Casamance, it forms the northern border of Senegal. Climate: Most Senegal alternates between dry desert climate and southern hot and humid tropical climate. The nation's rainy season lasts from July to October in the north, with an average rainfall of 14 inches, from June to October, the average rainfall in the south is 60 inches.
Gambia is a small country in West Africa with a population of 2 million people. The surroundings are surrounded by Senegal. After the bloodless military coup in 1994, a young military officer named Yahijaemem captured power. In 1996 the country nominally recovered civilian rule, but Jammeh won in each subsequent election and thought that some of them were not free or fair. Under Jammeh's 22-year reign, he continued to be more quirky and caught up with an eccentric African dictator's model. The most anxious thing for foreign observers is Jamme's strange claim to his government's power. In 2007, Jammeh announced that he could treat AIDS with a mixture of bananas and herbs. In 2008, he said that he personally "cut away" the head of any homosexuals found in his own country. Human rights groups condemn Jammeh for abuse, torture and murder of political adversaries
One thing that Senegal always surprises me is a big difference in language. In Senegal, which is roughly equivalent to South Dakota, there are over 32 languages based on geographical areas and ethnic groups. The main languages are Wolof and French. As more and more people move to the center of the city, people speak French fluently and Wolof is the language of the informal economy called Sologar's "Wolofing". The diversity of ethnic groups in Senegal relate to the cultural age and how long it has existed there. From my observation and experience point of view, ethnics are defined not only by language and dialect but also by socio-economic role of culture. Between these people they have not only their own dialects and languages but also have wonderful cultural and cultural knowledge specific to their ethnic group.
The Senegalese here usually shows which country the person is from. There are many different languages depending on the location. Languages include Pular, Wolof, Serer Laala, Serer Noon, Mandinka, and others 31. The mother tongue of Senegal is French, but many people can speak only Wolof and possibly other mother tongue. In my place of residence, language learning has been induced at school. After the children were born, they learned Serer Laala, chose Wolof, and then began learning French at elementary school. Many people around the age of 13 are already fluent in 3 languages. So when they talk to each other Laala, they will talk to Wolof to a businessman, speak French to a foreigner, or speak in a more professional environment as they leave our village.
