Self-Determination: Right or Privilege?

In 1968, the Soviet Union tried to invade Czechoslovakia several Warsaw Treaty allies and to rebuild a complete Communist government. The main reason for the invasion was "Prague Spring" - the great hope of the Czech people for the reform movement of the Czech and Soviet government's harsh policy. The main reason for the attack by Prime Minister Brezhnev Soviet was that the Soviet communist country himself was obligated to prevent what threatened the communism of every established country.

The algorithm is self-critical. Self-determination is a fundamental right derived from human dignity. As AI is increasingly involved in data / information and individual decision making, we need to protect that right by promoting respect for the need, purpose, proportion, and ownership principle of personal data .

Self-determination has two aspects, internal and external. Internal self-determination rights are the right for the people of the country to autonomously without external interference. The right of external self-determination is the right of people to determine their political status and remove themselves from foreign domination, including the formation of their own independent nation. However, independence is not the only one that can be brought about by exercising the right of self-determination. In international law, the self-determination right recognized in the 1960s was interpreted as the right to adopt other colonial territories independent or freely selectable. Ethnic groups in colonies and other different groups can not draw from the "ethnic group" of the whole territory. Today, the right of group management is more and more intertwined with human rights norms, especially ethnic minorities and indigenous peoples' rights.
