Selection and influence processes in academic achievement—More pronounced for girls?

My student's academic record is very similar. In this research, we investigated whether this similarity comes from a student who selects friends with similar achievements, or whether it comes from a friend who affects student performance. In particular, I believe that girls' choice and influence must be stronger than boys. Using the friendship network data, we co-evolved the network and behavior of 1273 German junior high school students and random actor-oriented models and found that only girls have a selection effect. In contrast, influence influences a similar outcome between boys and girls.

DeSales University acknowledges student academic achievement in high school by conferring two types of excellent academic scholarships. The process of selecting these scholarships will compete with the average of the results, the score of the class, and the award based on top-level applicants for the performance of SAT or ACT. The impact of delays in academic performance (ie, academic performance in previous assessments) is also an important predictor of enlightenment. During the last evaluation period, for each additional student unit score, the boys' estimated probability of starting decreased by 23% and girls by 26%. In the third model, the impact of changes in academic performance since the beginning of grade 7 was evaluated. For boys and girls, a decline in academic performance is related to an increase in the possibility of enlightenment. Each time a boys 'change score increases by 30%, the estimated startup opportunity decreases by 30% and girls' change score decreases 39% each time 39% increase.
