Sea Defences at Minehead and Their Effectiveness

Minehead's coastal defense and its effectiveness Introduction Minehead is located on the coast of Somerset in Southwest England (see Figure 1 and Figure 2). The sea area is the second largest tide area in the world, 14 meters. Over the years, the tide was the benefit of mixing, it has different fast flow. In the East Anglia coastline, two types of coastal defense were used. These are hard defense and soft defense, each of which alleviates coastal degradation in various ways.
