Scott Joplin

Scott Joplin is considered a king of ragtime. I will also explain how he grew up and about the kind of music he played. I will also write about the reason why I believe he should get the title he gave him. What I'd like to talk about first is that the kind of music he knows gives him a name. Most people listen to the kind of music he created, but hardly anyone knows who created it. Many music fans seem to have little or no knowledge of the origins of music.

Classically trained pianist Scott Joplin produced "Original Rags" in 1898 and in 1899 he created an international hit song called "Maple Leaf Rag".
