Engineering, science and technology also have an impact (and are influenced by society). Our human values, needs or problems often determine the problems scientists are investigating and the problems the engineers are solving. At the same time, technology as a product of science and engineering influences society and changes human culture (think only of the influence of cars and mobile phones)

Without spiritual value, human existence has no meaning. These values ​​broaden spirituality in every field of life including behavior in all fields including science. In this respect, the fusion of science and spirituality - technology and compassion - is the necessity of time. Science and technology must be used to advance the poor and the poor. They must respect the earth and all its living things. At Amrita University students who are studying engineering, business or social work are encouraged to stay in rural and urban poor slums for at least 1 to 2 months while receiving education .
