School Violence

Today's school violence definitely has problems. In the past three years, we found that violence in our school society has become more common than ever. Whether violence is related to guns, knives, or simply battle, school violence can be somewhat uncontrollable. In the past few years, there were several school shoots, and the number of school shooting seems to be increasing rapidly. The last data from government educators showed that in the 1996-97 academic year students found more than 2,000 weapons in lockers, backpacks and pockets.

The media showed us the image of school shooting and school violence. School shooting is relatively rare, but school violence is still spreading. Everyday, thousands of students are experiencing various types of school violence in the form of word attacks, physical attacks, bullying and threats. School violence may also affect learning. Students scared of school will have difficulty concentrating on their education. In a study done at Brown University, there was no direct correlation between school violence and personal GPA. However, in this survey we conclude that school violence will affect the test scores and the overall performance of the student group.

Most learners have a clear understanding of the form of school violence that is widespread at school. The explanation of violence at their school is consistent with the explanation about violence at the school of Crawage (2005). In other words, school violence can be physical or emotional. According to the survey, the most common form of bullying is bullying, most school learners are confirming this. According to the survey, older boys are perpetrators of this type of school violence. The above results are consistent with the literature (Prinsloo, 2008; Smit, 2007)

Violence at school is one of the most visible forms of violence against children. Violence at school takes a variety of forms from physical violence to psychological violence. It is usually expressed through bullying, intimidation, repression. Violence in schools creates anxiety and fear that infringes on the right to learn in a safe and dangerous environment, impairing the general atmosphere of the school. Schools can not fulfill the role of learning and socialization if the children are not in an environment free of violence.
