School Guidance Counseling Group: When Parents Divorce

For 11 years as a counselor, I have advised many elementary and junior high school students about their parents' divorce. I have never seen children who have not been affected by their parents' divorce, but there are also children who can adapt not only during the first transitional period between divorce and divorce but also prosper. Based on my experience as a counselor, the children with the most healthy experiences are those who are living a stable or more stable life after divorce. Peer counseling and mediation can be used in most public secondary schools. School districts also provide parent training and support groups through family counseling.

In Taiwan, traditional school counseling is done by "tutoring". The recent advocacy of the China Guidance Counseling Association promoted the license of school counselors at public schools in Taiwan. Prior to this time, emphasis was placed on pressure related primarily to individual counseling, group counseling, game therapy, career counseling and development, and national university exams. In the United States, the school counseling program was a career guidance campaign now known as career development and began in the early 20th century. Jesse B. Davis is the first school counseling program that systematically focused on career development. In 1907 he became the principal of high school and encouraged school English teachers to use essays and courses to connect with occupational interests, growing personality, and avoiding behavioral problems. In the meantime, many other people have focused on what is currently called career development.
