In design schools, I often feel that the design process is linear, but if I do not follow this procedure, it is not designed correctly. This is not a mistake. The design school only teaches you how to apply them at a certain stage of skills and design process. When you conduct an investigation, the skills you normally do at this point include detailed interviews, secondary surveys, usability surveys, etc. You do not need to take advantage of all the skills learned in the project, but it is helpful to choose skills that match the way you want to solve the problem.
