School Design

Building design usually reflects its function. Without some accommodation and details, the building will be visually appealing, but for residents it will not be useful. The function of the school depends on its design in particular. The design of Shin Spring Junior High School reflects the concept of whole junior high school. The overall design of the campus will promote the overall focus of Shin Spring Junior High School. Learning vegetable gardens and wetlands will serve as additional academic material for students.

I was involved in school design research for the first time as an undergraduate student. I worked with the four secondary schools in the state of Texas to study the influence of school design on student behavior. Most behavioral problems occur in remote areas where there is little activity. Therefore, in order to reduce negative behaviors, schools can learn from the design of urban space and pay attention to density and diversity of space use. This is one of the reasons for today's school design and is often designed for the use of glasses and corridors; passive monitoring and mechanics, existing activities promote positive behaviors

For many young designers, one of the technical challenges in the technical field is to accept designs for collaboration across multiple disciplines. In the design school, the group project is only with other design students. When they enter the industry, they face the challenge of working with other people whose goals, motivations, motivations may differ from our technology issues, including human needs and desires.

What I noticed and the industry we have is a break between 'new design' and what the school is currently teaching. Interactive designers, also called UI, UX, visual designers, are missing. Although young guns are on the rise, product-led start-ups and companies are looking for high and low for experienced people. The new design is an interdisciplinary design approach. In other words, the designer needs to leave the skills of the school as it is (and it is necessary to continue fine-tuning even after graduation). This is a skill to comprehensively understand how designs achieve their goals. Designers need to avoid displaying pure graphic design backgrounds, printed designs, or "new media" designs marked at school. Just like the studio they applied for, the designer should have a set of tools similar to their toolbox.

In design schools, I often feel that the design process is linear, but if I do not follow this procedure, it is not designed correctly. This is not a mistake. The design school only teaches you how to apply them at a certain stage of skills and design process. When you conduct an investigation, the skills you normally do at this point include detailed interviews, secondary surveys, usability surveys, etc. You do not need to take advantage of all the skills learned in the project, but it is helpful to choose skills that match the way you want to solve the problem. You do not have to investigate at the same stage of each question, but it makes the most sense because it helps to understand time before putting it in the solution.
