Abstract School psychologists have many legal and moral obligations to students and parents. When doing counseling and other therapeutic interventions at school there may be concern about student confidentiality and privacy. Before launching and providing treatment services they must inform the child's parent or legal guardian to advise school psychologist's planning services. When explaining their rights to them with them, explain to them that they may be very difficult if their parents want to provide information.
Introduction of CNSL 643 school counseling Prerequisite: CNSL 640 The purpose of this course is to introduce students to the professions of school counseling. The course examines the history of occupation, the role and responsibility of school counselors, the ethical issues of school counselors, and the challenges faced by the occupation of the 21st century. In addition, students will learn about the ASCA National School Counseling Program Model and how to implement individual counseling, group counseling, and group mentoring activities based on that model. Students will receive reading materials in textbooks and specialized magazines and will have experience in the field. 3 sem time, 3 credits
Introduction of the basic course of the school This course usually outlines consulting professionals such as its history, characteristics of an effective counselor, role and responsibility of counselor. Through this course, students begin to develop their identity as a professional school counselor. Lecturer: The cultural characteristics of consultation include decision-making, long-term goal setting, openness and individual centrality (Sue & Sue, 1981). Considering the cultural reality of career counseling, counselor educators should emphasize the importance of practicing career counseling based on the cultural background of each client. They should:
