This is a tragic situation, but there is hope. This is where Project 150 is coming; they will help them and provide lots of resources and supplies to support them. They offer items such as clothes, food and even school supplies. Prom and Homecoming are traditional activities in almost all schools in the south of Nevada, but many students can not participate for economic reasons. Project 150 provides "more normal" school experience for students by providing content such as home costumes and dance costumes.
The TransCanada Trade Scholarship is offered to 150 students from the TransCanada Canada and the US community every year. Scholarships are offered to students participating in or participating in eligible trading plans. This project was established by Mr. Peggy Traub and Phyllis Dicker and encourages and supports women in LGBTQ who wish to receive higher education. TDRS awards two types of scholarship to students: 1) Graduated high school graduates plan to enroll in accredited universities or universities, 2) students enrolled every year, including graduate schools. Over the past five years, organizations have grown to 71 scholarships awarded this year, including 4 new scholarships in 2011, 30 new scholarships and 41 updated scholarships. This spring, two of the scholars of the first dream project graduated from college; one from the backnell, one from the Texas adventist, and 93% scholars still attending college. Over the past three years, 18 to 20 high school graduates benefit from dream project guidance every year. In Miami Dade County Public School (M - DCPS), double entrance is permitted through Miami Dade College (MDC), University of Florida (UF), St. Thomas University, and Florida International University (FIU). Students can enter the university program and students are exempted from tuition and textbook fee. Most students receive classes in addition to high school enrollment after regular class hours.
