Scalloped hammerhead shark

This wide head shape is like a double head hammer, which makes it easy to identify the hammerhead shark. You can identify it from other hammers by the ridge of the front edge of the head. Shark's eyes and nostrils are at the end of the head. Perhaps this rare shape boosts sharks and makes it sharper than other sharks. The position of the eyes also enables better stereoscopic viewing. Because of its wide head shape, shark sensor owner (called Lorenzini ampulla) can find prey buried in sand (stingray etc).

Commercial fishery captures hammers for oil, meat and leather. At some point in the year, a fanned shark shark is swimming in hundreds of animals flock - unusual behavior of predators at the top of the food chain. This educational model makes them a mild prey for predatory large fishermen. While fishing swordfish and tuna, the hammerhead shark accidentally caught the hammerhead shark.

Generally, hammers are not aggressive to humans, but larger sharks rarely attack humans. (These sharks may be independent species, big hammerheads, Sphyrna mokarran.) These rare small mouths are better suited for eating fish.

Two different groups of fan-shaped hammerhead sharks are listed as endangered species and two are listed as a threat to endangered species law. WildEarth Guardians and Friends of the Animals on August 14, 2011, are fan-shaped hammerhead sharks threatened by the European Space Agency or are in danger of extinction for DPS. Conservation Measures: Shaped shark sharks are posted in CITES Appendix II. This means that you must register all international trade of that kind. In the Galapagos marine protected area, fan-shaped shark sharks are protected by law In 2007, Ecuador issued two new decree establishing better management measures.
