The Sanluya slave in Nigeria took Yoruba to the Caribbean Sea in the 1500s. This was considered inappropriate for white slave owners. Most planters in the Caribbean are members of the Roman Catholic Church, so they force their slaves to become Catholics by ignoring their religion in their mother country. Immediately, as long as a slave is camouflaged as a Catholic, they still can practice their West African religion, and Santria noticed that he was born.
One of my favorites that I like to see in Havana is a Santeria practitioner who often wear white costumes. Aboriginal religion, a combination of religious activities in Africa and Catholicism, Orisha (spiritual manifestation of the gods of Santeria) are everywhere. No matter where you go, there are people wearing white clothes, some wearing a necklace or bracelet representing Orisha. Oshun gold and Ogun green and gold are especially common.
That place looks like a square shop, but it is a true direct Santeria shelter. Clothing and cultural tricks are sometimes just a mask, but in the true spirit of Santelia, this Oraté and the priest are real. As my mouth became smooth and pure sugar cane, I began thinking more about what the store was. All these strange things are behind mysticism. This is African Cuban religion Santeria or la Regla de Lucumi. Basically, voodoo is an idea that comes to mind for ignorance of my traditional culture and spirit.
In 1959, Walter Eugene King named Yoruba Adefunmi and became a pastor of Santeria. He founded Shango Temple in New York. Over the years, Shango Temple departed from the Santeria community, emphasizing ceremonies and nationalism, not Catholicism - Yoruba of Santeria. In 1964, Adefunmi changed the name of the temple to a temple of Yoruba. Black college students found the Student Nonviolence Coordination Committee (SNCC). The organization promises to terminate apartheid and allow young blacks to make a stronger remark in the civil rights movement. SNCC members demonstrated the effectiveness of nonviolent meditation that was rapidly adopted by other civil rights groups. SNCC members participate in freeride, participate in interstate bus trips, challenge bathroom washroom, restaurant isolation, waiting room. After free ride, SNCC will focus on voter registration
