The 1920s was an era of alcohol ban, illegal gambling, prostitution. Due to the 18th amendment, sales and distribution of liquor became illegal. Many people, including Al Capone, are involved in these illegal acts. Al Capone is famous for this illegal act. He becomes rich by making and distributing alcohol. He also has many illegal bars. Many other gangs are doing the same illegal acts. Alcohol competition is intense. Because it is the way they earn money, every gang wants it.
The massacre of St. Valentine's Day was the seven members of the 1929 Valentine's Day killing and the name of a colleague from the north of Chicago. On Valentine 's Day, these people gathered in Lincoln Park' s garage, lined up there and hit by four unidentified perpetrators. The incident was due to a struggle between Irish northern and their rivals in southern Italy. And it controlled the organizational crime of the city during the prohibition orders. The perpetrators have not yet been confirmed, but members of the Chicago police station received individual retaliation after the murder, so the former members of Egan's Rats Gang, who worked at Kapone, were suspected to play an important role. Let's go back to the north of Chicago, February 14, 1929. This is the day of massacre of the famous St. Valentine's Day. Seven men were killed by Thompson Submachine. The slaughter was the result of a gang war between the Irish American gang and the southern Italians during the ban, as Al Capone controlled the organized crime. During the alcohol ban, alcoholic criminal convictions dominated the wrong hand and brought more bloodshed. Can you imagine whether we have control of a deadly machine gun in the hands of modern gangs? I hate to defend the National Rifle Association, but from fake Internet thugs like Slim Jesus I would rather rather believe them.
The first major federal firearm law enacted in the 20th century was the National Firearms Act of 1934 (NFA). It was adopted after the peaks of robberies during the ban and the massacre of St. Valentine 's Day in 1929. This era is known for the use of firearms for crime. It was cut off from the shotgun as Thompson's short machine gun (Tommy Gun). According to the NFA, machine guns, short barrel rifles, and other weapons belong to the management and jurisdiction of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms Authority (ATF), as explained in Chapter 2.
