Saint Justin Martyr Church

Saint Justin was born in Flavia of Apollo of modern Israel around 100 BC - 114 BC. His parents are infidels and Greek. They are very wealthy and can offer him a first class education. The desire for this knowledge encouraged him to apply himself to philosophical studies. Until he converted to Christianity for about 130 years he studied various pagan wisdom - stoicism, Pythagoranism, Platonism -. He explained his transformation in the famous book "Dialogue with Trypho". He talked to Justin Jesus and the Hebrew Prophet and encouraged him to pray for him to understand the truth about God. He is convinced that this is a true faith, he is baptized and teaches and starts writing Christianity

Justin explained to the pagans why they should not worship idols and should not reveal the mystery of true faith to them. He went to other countries for public debate. He also wrote two open letters, the first apology to Anthony Uspius emperor and his son Marcus Aurelius and the second apology. In these written arguments called apology, he explained and defended his beliefs.

After all, Justin caused the anger of the cynical philosopher Claisen because he criticized his unethical behavior, Justin was arrested for being a Christian. He was criticized before being taken to the city prefecture Junius Rusticus. Just before Rusticus sentenced him to death, he asked Justin, "If you were killed, would you think you would go to heaven?" "I do not think," Justin replied. In 165, Justin and the other five martyrs were beheaded

The main fact of Justin's life comes from his own work. Many of his works are dead, but the work that survived is one of the most important works attributed to us since the 2nd century, and we are preliminary explaining the mass. St. Justin Martyr (born 100 years, Flavia Napoli, Palestine - Roma, 165 pages, Rome; June 1 festival) is the most important Greek philosopher in the early Christian church - one of the advocates. His work represents the first positive encounter between Christian revelation and Greek philosophy, which lay the foundation of historical theology.
