An article from Santa Apollonia appeared in the dental briefing of July 1913. However, there are many inaccuracies in this article, I think I can add more on this topic. Dr. Cook mentioned this saint in the history of his dental surgery and in 1900 Dr. CN Pierce presented St. Apollonia's picture to the Department of Oral Disease of Philadelphia. To my knowledge, these are the only references in our dental literature of St. Apollonia. Centuries ago, in dental professionals, men and women with toothache were accustomed to calling Apollonia to help them. Because of the medieval toothache, the poor are very hopeless, as they can do.
We found two St. Apollonia, one as authentic, as old as Elizabeth and Julius Caesar, nobody, no legendary, all youthful, elegant and lovely person. This is the latter drawn by an artist and quoted by toothache patients. It is very real that she went to real Apollonia, but we have some details about her. As she was knocked out of the teeth, underwent cruel torture and then burned to death, we knew that she lived in Alexandria during persecution of Christianity of Emperor Deiusus command, 250 on February 9. As we all know, one of the major authorities in the history of the early Christian church was the church history of the bishops of Caesarea Eusebius of the 4th century. Because this is her only historical document, we quote the part related to her.
