Sacrifice as an Expression of Religion

Paying the sacrifice, the greatest manifestation of human religion and worship was discovered. Sacrifice is defined as "a close relationship with people and Almighty God (Catholic Bible Encyclopedia, 786)". The sacrifice of the Old Testament is the most important act that one can show love for God. This includes sacrifice, people must play an important part of life, such as animals and food, and give it as a gift to God as a victim (Catholic Bible Encyclopedia 786).

Sacrifice is an ancient and universal expression of human religion. Greeks, Romans, Canaanites and Egyptians sacrificed their gods. Long before the Torah, the Hebrews were sacrificing. Cain and Abel sacrificed and Noah and his sons were sacrificed. When the law of sacrifice is presented to the children of Israel in the law, the existence of the sacrifice system is understood and words of sacrifice are used without explanation. The law carefully restricts this practice by allowing specific locations, specific times, specific ways, specific people, and specific purposes, rather than creating a system of sacrifice. Rambam considers these restrictions to be designed to keep primitive people away from the ruin of their idolaters' neighbors.

In the Bible, God is forbidden from doing it after trying Abraham. An important part of culture and religion that forces human sacrifice is fortune telling before sacrifice occurs. But this does not mean that fortune tellers are evil, but all these things mean that human beings can be sacrificed. Let's say someone is killing their partner, the homicide is clearly a sin. They choose to do this by slowly killing potatoes, and it can lead to starch poisoning. To buy a potato is not a bad act or cooking it, but homicide is so. I do not think that buying potatoes, peeling and cooking is a bad thing. Because they can be used as a tool to help other bad acts.

In modern times even the sacrifice practice of animals has disappeared from many religions, human sacrifices are extremely rare. Most religions condemn this practice, but this is considered murder in modern secular law. In the society condemning human sacrifice, the term murder was used. Human sacrifice has been done in various scenes and in various cultures. The various reasons behind human sacrifice are the same, thus stimulating general religious sacrifices. The sacrifice of mankind is designed to bring luck and appease the gods in the context of completing the dedication of buildings such as temples and bridges.
