Requiring students to write a diary is a general reflection activity in the service learning course. Journals can be assigned easily, but it is difficult to score, I believe that many people should not evaluate such personal reflection method. Journals provide a way for students to express their thoughts and emotions about service experiences throughout the semester and, under the guidance of the journals, the journals can link individual learning to the content of the course. However, as a general trend, the entry of a diary is not an introspective activity that the student considers the experience of the service based on the learning objective, it is a record of a mere event. Before assigning a reflective journal, consider the learning objectives that the journal will achieve. Journals are an effective way to deepen your self-understanding and strengthen your internal skills. It is necessary to collect and review journals at least twice during the semester.
