Movie Rumblefish comes to mind when it comes to thinking that a movie can demonstrate that many movie elements are combined in a fun and organized way. Director Francis Ford Coppola shows how the metaphor helps to interpret the deeper meaning of the movie. Rumble Fish is about movies about becoming adults and seeing new things not ever. Two heroes as brothers Rusty James and a motorcycle boy experienced an internal conflict. Rusty James Two young men look at his brother and want to be like him.

Like Rumble Fish, this book is made at Hinton's hometown of Tulsa, Oklahoma and her first book, Outsiders. However, unlike Rumble Fish, Ponyboy Curtis, the protagonist of The Outsiders, appeared in That That Then, This Is Now and also participated in events surrounding dance and murder. The role of Tim and Curly Shepard of The Outsiders also appeared like the older sister Angela who was the original of The That Is Then, This Is Now. Randy is hippie even in this book. Randy is a wealthy child, so he feels guilty about class division and is repelled by it. Rumblefish written by S.E. Hinton is a sequel to The Outsiders. Although the character name is different, it still appears within the same period. In the story of rumble fish, Rusty James is a tanker that fights a lot in and out of school. He met a motorcycle boy, and whenever a rust encounters a major event or battle, a motorcycle boys always help him. Rusty is not a good girl. He had a police record and was interrupted to have a knife. In some cases there is the possibility that bad things happen if there is no knife. For example, Rusty is fighting a fight fighting a knife. Because none of his groups had it, Rusty lost. Then he met a motorbike boy and everything returned to normal until the war.
