Semester project: Coastal eroded houses slowly began to collapse and began to slide off the cliffs. Over the years, the waves devastated the rocks, they peeled off the land over time and eroded. Coastal erosion is always an urgent task and today it is becoming more prominent than ever. Recently, Europe experienced the worst storm and flood in decades and increased coastal erosion by about 1000% ("Winter storm dramatically accelerates coastline erosion").

Global sea level rise had a major impact on coastal erosion. There are many countermeasures for coastal erosion control in the eastern coastal area of ​​the United States. Places like Florida are aware of the increase in coastal erosion. To deal with these increases, Florida and its county have increased their budget to compensate for sand erosion that erodes tourists in Florida and helps support its billions of dollar sightseeing. The hard corrosion control method provides a more durable solution than the soft corrosion control method. Revetment and breakwaters are semi-permanent infrastructure. These structures are not protected from normal wear and must be refurbished or rebuilt. The average life expectancy of the revetment is estimated to be 50 to 100 years, while the average life span of the revetment is 30 to 40 years. Because of their relative durability, these structures are believed to be the ultimate solution to erosion.

There are two general definitions of coastal erosion. First, coastal erosion is often defined as the loss or loss of land along the coastline due to the effects of waves, flow, tides, wind by water, water ice, and other storms. Reclamation of the land on the coastline is given data measured in tidal tides, seasons, other short-term cycling processes. Finally, coastal erosion is also defined as a process of long-term removal of coastline sediments and rocks, leading to loss of land and retreat to coastline land. It can be caused by water, wind, shock and other natural or non-natural corrosive forces.
