Robert Addison Day

Robert Addison Day is a US business executive and philanthropist. He was founder and former chairman and CEO of Western Trust Company until 2009. He is the chairman and president of the W · M · Keck Foundation.

Robert Addison Day is the grandchild of William Myron Keck, the founder of Superior Oil Company. Born in Los Angeles, California in 1943 [2] [3]. In 1965 he received a bachelor's degree in economics from Claremont McKenna University. [4] [5] He studied at the ROTC at Claremont McKenna University

Day started his career at White, Weld and Company in New York. In 1971, he established the Western Trust Company. [4] [1] In 2001, he sold 70% of his shares to Societe Generale for $ 2.5 billion. [1]
