I. Diagnosis of ADHD ADHD is a state that affects multiple functional areas. For a thorough diagnosis, the disease has hired doctors, pharmaceutical companies and teachers. According to Diller (2008), the use of drugs like Ritalin was not seen in this country nor in other countries. Ritalin is the trade name of methylphenidate. Ritalin is a gentle central nervous system irritant prescribed by a doctor to treat various diseases. The most common use of Ritalin is treatment of attention deficit disorder (ADD) and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). Another known use of Ritalin is for treatment of narcolepsy. The doctor may also prescribe it for depression. - Sensory neurons receive stimulation from sensory organs and receptors and transmit sensations to the spinal cord and brain. Emotions transmitted by sensory neurons include heat, colds, pain, taste, smell, sight, and hearing.
