Rising Above My Disability

I thrive in responsibility and friendship, and I am a qualified doctor. I was a nearly direct student, I participated in a fee-based research internship several times and led the team to the number one in the nationwide design competition. In this semester I have won three national awards that I have never seen before. But my teacher and my teammate may have been surprised that my greatest achievement came from outside the classroom. Four years ago I was lying on a bed in a hospital and my head was seriously injured. As a senior high school student, I was the only victim of a car accident.

Disabled people are already talking about my life. I am studying at law school with the aim of working in the field of disability rights. I currently have a doctorate with a focus on research and social policy. I believe that my obstacle and the experience I have made will make my work better. If I do not have a disabled person, I think that I will not enter this field. I really appreciate it here. Now I am the first person who acknowledged that disability is not easy. Sometimes it may be very bad. I have encountered blatant discrimination by employers, medical professionals, retailers, and perfect strangers. My wheelchair broke down at the most inconvenient time - if I missed my work nearly two weeks, I waited for the wheelchair to be repaired. My Personal Care Assistant did not show up, let me stuck with bed or other compromise

My name is Daisy, and sitting in a wheelchair in college is very rewarding because it works for anyone without disabilities. My disorder is cerebral palsy, which is a condition that affects all my limbs, including my words. It is very shocking now that I am said to be participating in a dance course, but I am. I woke up at 6:30 and warmed up at 8:30 in the studio just like any other person. Sometimes I get help from my instructor. In a room full of healthy dancers, I only have a strong arm and wheelchair so that they can protrude like a thumb, but I'd like to do my best with my passion for dancing It is a good thing to indicate that. I am the first wheelchair user of Falmouth University Dance Course, which is a fear of unknown and it is very rewarding for everyone because we have to change to make the course easier to use.
