By July 2013, this game was released and distributed in Australia, USA, Canada, Europe, Philippines, and South Korea. Tencent is China's largest internet value added service company and is known as QQ instant messaging client. This game is expanding to Tencent's 300 million Internet users through its leading QQ game portal. This deal is one of the few partners bringing online games developed in the US directly to China.

In Europe, Riot Games initially signed an international licensing partnership between GOA (video content division of Orange's content division and Europe's largest game portal). On 13th October 2009, GOA and Riot announced that server access to European players will be transferred to GOA 's dedicated server. This alliance will not continue, On May 10, 2010, Riot Games announced that it would take over the issue and operation of European games. To that end, Riot Games founded the European headquarters in Dublin.
