"I told her, I said to her: a daughter, you must tell your child that the facts of your life are too late" (Hopkinson 1). This is the first three lines of Nalo Hopkinson's fairy tale "Red Riding", a contemporary improvement of Charles Perrault's "Little Red Riding Hood". Pero gave morality to his fairy tale, this is to prevent girls from the nature of men. The goal is the same also in Hopkinson's indication. Through the grandmother's biographical story, the authors propose morals that have been reviewed but still effective: even if they appear to be innocent, beware of wolves.

In the story of Little Red Riding Hood, a big bad wolf is a central opponent of her grandmother who pretends himself to deceive Little Red Riding Hood and deceives Little Red Riding Hood. (Killing the wolves in the process) and freeing her Little Red Riding Hood and her grandmother from the wolf. But in most contemporary stories this violent ending was overlooked and Little Red Riding Hood was able to beat the wolves in some other way (not so bad).

At the beginning of "Little Red Riding Hood", when Little Red Riding Hood was there to carry delicious food, she continued talking to "I met the wolf, I really want to eat" (Pero). This is the first mistake of Little Red Riding Hood. Immature, I do not know how the world works, she thinks it's okay to talk to a very difficult-to-treat wolf. Because small Little Red Riding Hood is friendly and a little ignorant, the little girl is immature and very fragile so she thinks there is no problem speaking with her wolf in the forest. Wolf asked Xiaohong, "Xiaohong, where does your grandmother live?" (Gerry Childhood) she replied: "A quarter of the Union on the tree is underneath, you I must know that. "(Green)
