Richard Russo’s Novel, Empire Falls

Richard Russo's novel "Imperial Falls" tells the story of many different people living in the small milling town in Imperial Falls, Maine. Some residents, like Miles Roby, C. B. and Grace Roby, Mrs. Francine Whiting mother, who were born and grew up in Imperial Falls, are the owners of the factory and most of them. For years of events, Francine eventually managed the business alone. Mrs. Whiting had called Myers and asked him to go home to take care of his sick mother.

Richard Russo's novel "Imperial Falls" is a depiction of the lives of the people of the Empire Falls. After closing the factory by Whitings, the town became obsolete and was trying to go bankrupt as a symbol of the past as a symbol of the past. Miss Whiting is the owner of most buildings and companies in the town and he dominates much of what happens at the border of the town. Miles Roby is her barbecue manager, Empire Grill.
