In medicine, prevention is better than treatment, so the library needs to take adequate precautions, especially storage and safety measures to prevent damage or loss of the book. Preventive art is as old as human civilization. Since I wrote innovation, humans have been faced with prevention issues. In this article, I will explain the bookshelf management system of the library. This system is developed using radio frequency identification (RFID). This research was developed with the creation of graphical user interface (GUI) on integrated RFID system and host PC. The scope of this research was to develop an automatic library shelf management system to support librarians in more efficient bookshelf management to find books left behind on library shelves. The system GUI was developed using Microsoft Visual Basic.Net. The GUI task is to store the details of the book in the database. A shelf ID is created and encoded into an RFID tag. The system then uses this code to find misplaced books on the selected shelf.

Radio identification (RFID) inventory systems use active and passive techniques to manage inventory movements. Active RFID technology uses a fixed tag reader throughout the warehouse, the RFID tag passes through the reader, and movement is recorded in the inventory management software. Therefore, the active system is ideal for organizations that need real-time inventory tracking and inventory security issues. On the other hand, passive RFID technology requires the use of a handheld reader to monitor the movement of inventory. Inventory management software records the data read. Reading range of RFID technology is about 40 feet, passive technology and 300 feet active technology.
