Fire prevention systems throughout the United States are in transition. As the number of EMS calls increases, the number of fires decreases, raising questions about system design and resource allocation. It is estimated that 80% of the phones of fire service are related to EMS. There is little evidence to guide locals in designing an EMS system, but there is even less information on the performance of any system and how it is measured. The main goal of every EMS system is to ensure that each patient is guided to the most appropriate environment based on their condition.
