Resistance is NOT Futile

Understand - I support methodologies and best practices, and of course there are many excellent frameworks that are far from wasteful. I participated in many data quality plans according to the framework and had various successes in the implementation process.

But my ironic fictitious BORG framework illustrates the general problem of all the frameworks I propose. This advocates a universal strategy.

Implemented frameworks need to be customized to the organization's own culture. To some extent, this is necessary. Because the implementation of any type of change encounters initial resistance. When trying to do a universal approach, the organization is sent a message that everything you are doing is wrong.

Everyone has an opinion - opinions do not matter. Essentially, every change starts with a change in people's mind.

The starting point is to improve communication and encourage open dialogue. This means not simply telling what to do, but listening to what people in the organization say. In order to match data with business processes and inferior quality, it is necessary for people to communicate their concerns freely and consistently.

There is a clear difference. But you must seek mutual understanding by practicing empathy. The goal is to create an environment where you can freely share your ideas without prejudice.

This does not mean that custom components of the framework are implemented at the same time. All changes are incremental and stepwise implementation. BORG nanoprobes are not used. You will not be assimilated

By adapting the framework to your corporate culture, your group's consciousness will receive the best possible service.

The data quality program promotes collaboration between business and technology stakeholders, coordinates data usage with business metrics, and allows people to be responsible for data ownership and data quality.

Many of us know that there is a famous route to Star Trek. Resistance is useless, whether you like it or not, we assimilate into Borg which is a nest boxless heart. In this case, Borg is a system of competition, corruption, control, control, we are all part of unhappiness. What we need to understand is that our existence is threatened. Attacks on American democracy are progressing rapidly and violently. It is easy to feel discouraged and to feel that their actions are in vain. But if the Holocaust has nothing to teach us it is that resistance is always wasted. Human behavior may reverse trends or make a difference to others. Loss may increase, but you can do what you can do by taking action instead of waiting and doing nothing.
