Enteral resection is a surgical operation that resects affected parts of the intestine and joins healthy parts. The amount of intestine removed depends on the degree of disease. Small resection is superior to radical resection to prevent short bowel syndrome. Surgery can be performed by laparoscopy (minimally invasive, camera guided surgery), laparotomy (surgery with abdominal incision) or invasive surgery. Laparoscopy is usually invasive and is usually preferable because the recovery period after surgery is short

Traditional telescope surgery (TURP) involves removal of the central part of the prostate (transurethral resection or TURP) using a telescope entering the bladder through the penis. Because this approach is dangerous, other technologies such as electroevaporation and laser surgery are also being developed. These technologies also produce superior results at lower risk. Microwave therapy, balloon stretching, RF needle ablation and freezing (cryotherapy) have been attempted. They are not as effective as traditional surgery and are usually not durable. An indwelling catheter or an intermittent self-guiding catheter can alleviate symptoms, but it must be considered as a temporary measure

Surgery involves various methods of ablating or ablating prostate tissue. Effective dilation and reduction of symptoms, tissue excision or resection of the urethral can also lead to severe morbidity (NeoTract, 2011). However, due to the incidence associated with surgical treatment of that condition, alternative therapies have been developed and increasing use (National Health and Medical Research Council, 2011). Under the microscope, the prostate consists of glandular epithelium and fibrous muscle matrix elements. Smooth muscle cells, fibroblasts and endothelial cells are present in the interstitium, epithelial cells are secretory cells, basal cells and neuroendocrine cells (FIG. 6A) (Mark Frydenberg, Nathan Lawrentshuk, 2012).
