Researchers study cell phone habits of college students in US and South Korea

Kang joined UTSA in 2007 and has been studying digital communications since the relaxation of the telecommunications industry in the latter half of the 1990s. He holds a doctorate in telecommunications from the University of Georgia, a master's degree in communication at Illinois State University, and a Bachelor of Arts degree in sociology from Sungkyunkwan University in Seoul, Korea.

In the future Kang wishes to extend his research and compare the United States with other countries in South America or Europe.
