Open Education Resources: Open Education Resources are educational, learning, and research resources within the public domain that can be made available for free by anyone via the Web. From podcasts to digital libraries, textbooks and games, it is an important element of learning infrastructure. It is important to make sure that open educational resources meet standards of quality, integrity, accuracy as well as other educational resources, and that disabled students have access to these resources.

Academic libraries are libraries hosted by higher education institutions such as universities and universities. Their main function is to support research and resource connections for educational institution students and teachers. Documents related to specific courses, such as copies of textbooks and "reservations", are provided by the library (usually they can be borrowed only for a short period of several hours). Some academic libraries offer materials that are not usually associated with libraries, such as laptops, web cameras, and the ability to check scientific calculators.

More schools and school districts are turning to Open Educational Resources (OER), also known as publicly licensed educational resources, to reduce content licensing costs. OER is open to public domain education, learning, and research resources, based on licenses that allow free usage, reuse, modification, and sharing with others. OER includes more advanced resources such as complete online courses, modular digital textbooks, and images, videos and evaluation projects. In addition to long-term savings due to cancellation of licensing fees, open source has the additional advantage that teachers can customize and share teaching materials without violating license agreements. The # Goopen program of the US Department of Education, in cooperation with states, districts, and educators, changes teaching and learning using publicly licensed materials.
