Research Proposal: The Attention Span of Students During Class

You know, the first few minutes of the class is the only time students listen to their teachers. Students will take classes for 60 to 90 minutes on a 200-day class day. However, because students can not pay attention to their attention for a long time, they will lose attention elsewhere. One day, this may be a problem for my parents. For students lacking concentration, future plans may fail. Attention is a state where we apply our mind to specific information that is currently found around us.

It starts with some specific questions. How many students are not paying attention during the class? How long are these mistakes? How many times does each class last? Is there a period when the student's mind tends to be embarrassed? Is there a teaching method that can be associated with higher or lower level attention? Negligence studies in three different chemistry courses solved these problems. Students in these courses will use Clicker self-report (for the research team, not the course teacher) to lose attention. Each time an error occurs, the student presses one of the three clicker buttons. Press one button for 1 minute, another button for 2 minutes to 3 minutes, and the third button for 5 minutes or more.

When I was a student at the University of Iowa, my father gave me a message on my class one day. In the spirit of complete disclosure, this is a rather boring lecture and I answered quickly. After laughing for a while and after my attention was lacking, we started wondering how many students broke their attention when their mobile phones evoked attention. I looked around the class and noticed that it was actually a problem. At the speech of ECON 2010 that day, Lock & Stock was born.

Unfortunately, in each classroom, some students are classified as "dull". All of these students pay more attention and need a comprehensive incentive plan for the whole class. Because of lack of attention, children will get bored and deviate, lose interest in the course, and the performance in the classroom will decline. Children tend to look for some words from tutor or recognize and admire the activities they have completed.
